About Norwegian Game Awards
The purpose of Norwegian Game Awards is to promote games and game development among students and to boost creativity and innovation. We want to inspire students to come up with new ideas within the area of game development.
Game development is more than just programming and code; it is also modeling, graphics, sound, game concepts, storytelling and so on. We aim at including students with fields other than computer science in the contest and we want to show these students that their fields are also important in game development. By doing this we hope to increase the interest of game developing among students.
The NGA team comes from Start NTNU, a student organization promoting entrepreneurship. Our second goal is to convince the contestants that they can actually start up a company of their own within game development. We want to show that it is possible to create games here in Norway.
